How User Friendly Is Your Website ?

These days, most businesses have a website. Prospective
clients enjoy going to websites because they go there on
their own terms and they can browse it at their leisure
without feeling as if they have someone looking over their
shoulder.

Here are some ways to make your website user friendly, and
one of your biggest lead generators.

1. Keep it simple

Make sure that the website is easy to navigate and people
can find what they are looking for quickly and easily.

2. Don't blind your customers

Don't use a lot of flashing lights or color schemes that
can be painful to view, or else you may find that your
customers close the window before they have a chance to see
what you have to offer.

3. Offer advice or tips

It's always a good idea to offer visitors something free,
like tips or advice. Make sure that the advice and tips are
pertinent to your business.

4. Encourage feedback

Have a guest book or a forum that people can go to and leave
feedback with suggestions or comments about your website.
Even if they aren't things that you want to hear, any
feedback is valuable.

Follow up on the feedback and thank them for taking the
time to leave it.

All of the above tips put the customer first and show that
you care about what they think. When visitors know that you
are putting them first, they are more likely to become a
customer and encourage others to do the same.

Please leave your comment, everyone learns from them.

Make Everything -Flyers, Brochures,Ads,Your Website,Blog Understandable To All That See Them!

One of the biggest things that turns off prospective
clients is when someone is talking way above their heads.

It's insulting, it's confusing, and it shows the client
that the business person doesn't care about them or their
feelings. All they care about is making money.

A good way to generate leads is to talk to prospective
clients in a way that they can understand. The last thing
that anyone wants to do is to feel like they are dumb, and
when they don't understand what you are talking about, that
is how they feel.

Whether you are making a flyer, a brochure, or your
website. write it in layman's terms so that people there
can understand what it is that you are saying.

(Click to see the video. Rap is not our # 1 choice but this guy gets his points across. What is important in website design and marketing - make it easy to understand.)

It's easy to think that clients will be impressed by the
vast knowledge that you show, but it can have just the
opposite affect if they get turned off by terms that they
don't understand.

If there are terms that you have to use, consider including
a glossary so that people know that you thought of them
when you were creating the information.

This will not only impress them but it will also show that
you really care about them being well informed.

Don't assume that everyone will know what you are talking
about, or will be impressed by big words and a lot of
jargon. Depending on who the target audience is, it may
make them decide to turn around and go with your
competitor.

Please leave your comments, we welcome them.

Lead Generatuin With The Things That Can Be Taught On Your Website!

One of the best ways to get leads through your website is
to give the visitors information that they need without
them knowing that they need it.

Let's face it - people don't like to feel as if they are
dumb. But if you give them information that is useful
without them feeling as if they are being talked down to,
it can really make them sit up and take notice.

For example, take a company that sells jewelry. Most
everyone knows what the birthstones are for the different
months of the year.

But someone who has a jewelry website could offer a chart
for different anniversaries. For example, the 40th wedding
anniversary gemstone is ruby.

Another thing that a jewelry website could offer is
cleaning tips for different types of gemstones, because not
every method can be used on every type of gemstone. But
that is something that can be offered on the website as
well.

Both of the examples above are things that people may not
know that they want to know, but it's information that is
quite useful and people are going to be happy that it's
available.

People like to know that the company is offering them
information that is useful to them, because it doesn't make
them feel as if the company is only trying to make a sale.

The more useful information that you offer people, the
better chance you have of making a sale. People like to get
things that are free, even if it is only free information.

Strategies For Getting More Leads !

When you have a home business, you want to be able to
create a good amount of leads, because without leads you
don't have a business.

But unfortunately a lot of people don't know how to
generate leads effectively. Here are some tips on how you
can generate your leads and see where your business goes.

1. Keep track of your advertising campaigns

If you are a part of a large home based business that has a
corporate office, many of them have a way that allows you
to do this. See if your home business has this, and take
advantage of it if it's available.

If you aren't a part of a big home based business, or if
this isn't something that your company offers, ask the
leads how they came upon your information and what part of
your advertisement drew them to your company.

Keep track of the results and this will help you know what
is working and what isn't.

2. Choose a market to target

Sit down and figure out what part of the market you want to
target, and concentrate on that. Otherwise you will find
yourself targeting people who may not ever be interested
and wasting a lot of time and money.

3. Offer clients incentives

Everyone loves to get something for free, so the best thing
that you might do is to offer your current clients
incentives for bringing in new clients.

It doesn't have to be money, it can be a small token of
appreciation. The point is that they know that you
appreciate what they have done.

Even if you do offer them something like a percentage of
the sale in free gifts, remember that you wouldn't have
gotten that sale at all if they hadn't brought you that
client. You come out ahead no matter what.

We help each other to learn when you leave a comment. Your comment might be the answer to another persons problem. Lets help each other how ever we can and we love to read them.

How Well Do You Know Your Clients And Your Competition

Part 5

Something that a lot of business owners don't consider is
the fact that sometimes you have to do research before you
can know what it is that your prospective clients need and
want from their company.

One of the best things that you can do to help you draw
clients to your website is to take a look at your
competitors and see what it is that is, or isn't, working
for them.

Chances are good that if people have a problem with what
they see on that website, they aren't going to like it any
better on yours.

If your competitor has a guest book, or a message board,
this is a good place to start. This is where people will
leave their thoughts, questions and suggestions about the
website. See what people have said about it, and take
notes.

Don't copy your competitor's website - the last thing that
you want to do is to have someone mistake you for them, and
have an upset competitor on your hands.

But as a part of the market research you want to know what
it is that your prospective clients are looking for, and
what they don't like.

Remember, the better that you know your audience, the more
successful your business will be. After all, a doctor goes
to medical school to learn about the human body before they
can treat patients.

You have to know what is wrong and what your clients need
before you can fix it.

To Help Get Leads How Do You Get More Traffic To Your Website?

Part 4

One thing that people in business should remember is that
it's important to take time once in a while and see how
leads are being generated. There are a couple of ways that
you can do this.

1. Website -

Take a look at your website and see what kind of traffic it
is getting. How many people are coming, how long are they
staying once they get there? Are they subscribing to your
newsletter, taking surveys, leaving feedback on your
guestbook or forums?

If your traffic is low, take a look at the content that is
offered on it and see if there is something that can be
done to bring more visitors in. You might want to pay
someone who is specialized in Search Engine Optimization to
write some content for your website.

2. Leads -

It's a good idea to talk to people who contact you so that
you can find out where they got their information from.
That will let you know what is working and what isn't, and
allow you to get rid of the dead weight that isn't bringing
any new business in.

It's essential that you know where your leads are coming in
and what isn't working. It's not cost effective or wise to
use mediums that aren't working. They should be changed so
that there are more leads generated, in the case of a
website, or done away with altogether, in the case of a
newspaper advertisement.

The medium that you dispose of right now can always be
revisited in the future. (click to see the video)

How Can You Make Sure That Your Clients Come Back Often To Buy From You?

Part 3

A mistake that is made on websites is that there is a lot
of the word 'we', and that can turn prospective customers
away.

It's understandable that you want to tell your customers
all about the company and what it can do for them, but it's
better to have the customer be the center of the focus, not
the company.

Let the customer know that they are your main focus, and
that you put their needs above everything else. Customers
don't want to read about how great your company is - they
want to see results. They want to see what you are going to
do for them.

Something that websites offer is an anonymous poll, so that
they can see what it is that their customers are looking
for. This gives the customer the chance to give their
opinion without offering any other information.

(Is this the way that this business thinks about good customer service. If they care this little about how the sign is placed. What do they think of you as the customer?)

A good way to get a customer's attention is to have
something like, -Let us know how to serve you better-.

This makes the customer centric and lets them know that you
value their opinion.

Something to remember is that when a customer sees a
website full of praise about the company, they may think
that the company doesn't really care about their customers
and makes them wonder what will happen if there's a
problem.

But when a website puts the customer at the forefront right
away, this shows them that they are important and that the
company cares about them.

Do Your Client Feel That They Are Important To You For More Than Just For Their Wallets?

Part 2

2. Get rid of waste

When you talk to clients, find out where they found the
information about you and your company. If one form of
advertising is working well, and the other one isn't
working as well, consider getting rid of the one that isn't
working.

Depending on what it is, it can be costing you money
without giving anything back in return.

3. Make use of your website

Take a look at your website and look at it with a critical
eye. Try and see it as a customer sees it and make sure
that any questions that they might have are answered.

4. Ask questions

The last thing you want to do is to ask questions. When
people see a question, it makes them think. They may not
have thought about it before, but it helps them take a look
at themselves and they might just find that they do have a
need for your product or service, or want to get more
information.
What can you learn from other industries that can help you with
your business. The video talks about gift certificates. How could
you use that with your business. Can you change it up and make
it fit your business better. This adds sales to your business and
give a great benefit to your client. The more benefits that you
can give to your clients the better off your business is.

Do Your Client Feel That They Are Important To You For More Than Just For Their Wallets?

The reason that a lot of businesses fail is that they don't
focus on what is really important - the client.

Most people will say that making money in the most
important, and money is important, but without clients you
don't have money. So here are some tips for generating
leads.

1. Meet your clients' needs

Clients aren't going to buy your product or make use of
your service unless you appeal to them and offer them
something of value.

Instead of focusing your advertisements on what you do,
focus on what they will get out of your product or service.

This shows your clients that you are focusing on their
needs instead of on simply making money on a product or
service that no one can really use.

Show them how it will benefit them and how it will help them
with something that they are having a problem with.

Business cards, do you pass out business cards to help you get
new clients to your business.Do you make it stand out from the
crowd? One business card that we found interesting is from a
remodeling company. It has on the back of the card the eight
trustpoints that sets them apart from the ordinary remodeling
service companies. How many of those in business would put
these things on the business card:

1. We guarantee our estimates.
2. We guarantee our work.
3. We arrive on time.
4. We clean the work area daily.
5. We return messages within 24 hours.
6. We strive for harmony with your daily routine.
7. We tell you what we're going to do before we do it.
8. We listen carefully, tell it straight and keep our promises.
( From http://kitchentuneup.com )

That is one way to make your business card STAND OUT.
What can you think of to help your newest clients remember you and
want to come back your site and products?

What About Pay Per Click Advertising,Is It Right For You?

Part 4

Another essential element of pay-per-click advertising is that you constantly monitor your bid. It is very important that you bear in mind that the results of the top search engines providing pay-per-click advertising, which are Overture and Adwords Select, usually appear on other popular search engines. Because of this, the competition for top ranking is intense, and very often you will find that the bidding price balloons too high for pay-per-click to yield a profit.

If this happens, it is advisable to withdraw your bid on that particular keyword and try another one. Remember: when you pay too much per click to make a profit, you are in essence losing the bidding war.

Since losing is not acceptable, you must have a plan in place to closely track the effectiveness of your keywords. It is advisable to monitor your keywords on at least a monthly basis.

Not only is careful monitoring important, but the analysis of visitor behavior can produce invaluable knowledge about consumer motivation, habits, and trends. Expert monitoring and consumer analysis is essential to your overall business needs, and will also insure that your pay-per-click campaign is a success.

What About Pay Per Click Advertising, Is It Right For You?

Part 3

Be aware that the most popular keywords often cost considerably more than 50 cents a click. The only way around this is to did less for these phrases or you will be paying too much for each individual hit.

The key (pun intended ) to success is to learn everything you can about search engine keyword research. The good news is there isn't a limit to the amount of keywords you can add to your bid because additional keywords do not add additional cost. This translates into a lot less hassle for you because there is no need to optimize your site to index a particular set of keywords.

Obviously, some keywords are much more effective than others are, but they will not cost you anything except time to set-up your account in your pay-per-click bid. Of the popular search engines that offer pay-per-click, one called Overture provides an online tool that will give you the data on how often particular keywords are entered into their search engine. They also offer suggestions for keywords after you enter a description of your site.

In pay-per-click, this written description is crucial. You must understand that the object of your description is not to generally attract visitors, but to be as specific as possible so that only those visitors who are likely to buy your service or product go to your site. You must use expert marketing copy to guarantee that your description is both precise and enticing to attract the most ideal candidates to your site. This description is your most powerful tool to insure that your bid is profitable.

We learn much from your comments, so please leave your comments.

What About Pay Per Click Advertising, Is It Right For You?

Part 2

The downside is that pay-per-click is essentially a bidding war. A higher bid than yours will lower your position on search engine results. This means that you will have to raise your bid to regain your position-which can obviously become quite expensive, especially if you are bidding on a popular keyword.

In order to determine if pay-per-click is a cost effective form of marketing for your business, you must do some computing to figure out how much each visitor to your site is worth. You can compute this value by dividing the profit you make on your website over a given period of time by the total number of visitors for that same time period. For example, if your site made $ 5,000 in profits and there were 2,500 hits, each visitor would be theoretically worth 50 cents. The basic formula is profits divided by visitors. ( click to see the video)

The figure of 50 cents per visitor is the point at which your business breaks even. The idea, of course, is to show a profit, not to merely cover your costs. Therefore, you are aiming at a figure less than 50 cents per click.

What About Pay Per Click Advertising, Is It Right For You?

Part 1

Advertising your services or products on the Internet is both extremely effective and extremely competitive. There are several ways to go about attracting traffic to your website; Pay-Per-Click is one of the options you can choose from, along with developing an seo, or search engine optimization campaigns. Both pay-per-click and seo are targeted to get your website placed as close to the top of search engine results as possible. One of the differences is that it takes minutes to set up a pay-per-click campaign versus month for a good seo campaign.

Pay-Per-Click is a simple type of paid advertising that most search engines, including some of the largest ones, now offer. It requires a bid for a "per-click" basis, which translates to your company paying the bid amount every time the search engine directs a visitor to your site. There is the added bonus that when a per-click site sends your website traffic, your site often appears in the results of other prevalent search engines.

As with all marketing campaigns, there are advantages and disadvantages. If you understand the process and monitor your pay-per-click campaign frequently, it can be very effective. One of the greatest advantages is that you never have to tweak your web pages to change your position in search engine results, as you must do in a typical seo campaign. What you do have to do in a pay-per-click campaign is pay a fee.

Another advantage is the simplicity of the pay-per-click process. You just bid and you're up and running. It doesn't demand any specific technical knowledge, though the more you know about search engines and keywords, the easier-and more effective -the process will be.

If You Have A New Website Or Blog, Do You Pay The Search Engines To Include Your Website Or Blog?

Part 5

You should also base your decision on whether or not your pages are dynamically generated. These types of pages are often difficult for regular spiders to locate and index. Paying to include the most important pages of a dynamically generated website will insure that the paid spider will index them.

Sometimes a regular spider will drop pages from its search engine, although these pages usually reappear in a few months. There are a number of reasons why this can happen, but by using paid URL inclusion, you will avoid the possibility. Paid URL inclusion guarantees that your pages are indexed, and if they are inadvertently dropped, the search engine will be on the lookout to locate them immediately.

As you can see, there are numerous factors to consider when it comes to paid URL inclusion. It can be a valuable investment depending on your situation. Evaluate your business needs and your website or blog to determine if paid URL inclusion is a wise investment for your business goals.

If You Have A New Website Or Blog, Do You Pay The Search Engines To Include Your Website Or Blog?

Part 4

The most important factor in deciding whether to use paid URL inclusion is to decide if it's a good investment. To figure this out, you have to look at the overall picture: what kind of product or service are you selling and how much traffic are you depending on to see a profit?

If your company sells an inexpensive product that requires a large volume of traffic to your site, paid inclusion may not be the best investment for you; the biggest search engines do not offer it, and they are the engines that will bring you the majority of hits. On the other hand, if you have a business that offers an expensive service or product and requires a certain quality of traffic to your site, a paid URL inclusion is most likely an excellent investment. Another factor is whether or not your pages are updated frequently. If the content changes on a daily or weekly basis, paid inclusion will insure that your new pages are indexed often and quickly. The new content is indexed by the paid spider and then appears when new relevant keywords are entered in the search engines. Using paid inclusion in this case will guarantee that your pages are being indexed in a timely manner.

Feel free to leave your comments. We enjoy reading them.

If You Have A New Website Or Blog, Do You Pay The Search Engines To Include Your Website Or Blog?

Part 3

First and foremost, the disadvantage is the cost. For a ten page website, the costs of paid URL inclusion range from $ 170 for Fast/ Lycos to $ 600 for Altavista, you have to pay each engine their annual fee. How relevant the cost factor is will depend on your company.

Another, and perhaps more important, disadvantage is the limited reach of paid inclusions. The largest search engines, Google, Yahoo, and AOL, do not offer paid URL inclusion. That means that the search engines you choose to pay an inclusion fee will amount to a small fraction of the traffic to your site on a daily basis.

One way to figure out whether paid URL inclusion is a good deal for your company is to consider some common factors. First, find out if search engines have already indexed your website or blog pages. To do this, you may have to enter a number of different keywords, but the quickest way to find out is to enter your URL address in quotes. If your pages appear when you enter the URL address but do not appear when you when you enter keywords, using paid inclusion will not be beneficial. This is because your pages have already been indexed and ranked by the regular spider. If this is the case, your money would be better spent by updating your website or blog to improve your ranking in search results. Once you accomplish this, you Can then consider using paid inclusion if you want to speed up the time it will take for the regular spider to revisit your pages.

Google usually updates its index every month, and there is no way you can speed up this process. You will have to wait for the Google spider to index your new pages no matter how many other search engines you have paid to update their index daily. Be aware that it is only after Google updates their index that your pages will show up in Google, Yahoo, or AOL results.

Please leave a comment, we as well as others learn from what is said in comments. We love to read them.

If You Have A New Website Or Blog, Do You Pay The Search Engines To Include Your Website Or Blog?

Part 2

The debate over paid URL inclusion centers around the annual fee. Since the regular spider of these search engines would eventually get around to indexing your website or blog anyway, why is a renewal fee necessary? The fee is necessary to keep your pages in the search engine's index. If You go the route of paid inclusion, you should be aware that at the end of the pay period, on some search engines, your page will be removed from their index for a certain amount of time.

It's easy to get confused about whether you would benefit from paid inclusion since the spider of any search engine will eventually index your sites without the additional cost. There are both advantages and disadvantages to paid URL inclusion, and it is only by weighing your pros and cons that you will be able to decide whether to spring for the extra cash or not.

The advantages are obvious: rapid inclusion and rapid re-indexing. Paid inclusion means that your pages will be indexed quickly and added to search results in a very short time after you have paid the fee. The time difference between when the regular spider will index your website or blog and when the paid spider will is a matter of months. The spider for paid inclusion usually indexes your website or blog in a day or two. Be aware that if you have no incoming links to your website or blog, the regular spider will never locate them at all.

Additionally, paid inclusion spiders will go back to your website or blog often, sometimes daily. The advantage of this is that you can update your website or blog constantly to improve the ranking in which they appear in search engines, and the paid URL inclusion spider will show that result in a matter of days.

Tomorrow we talk about the disadvantages of paid URL inclusion.

Please leave a comment. We love to read them.

If You Have A New Website Or Blog, Do You Pay The Search Engines To Include Your Website Or Blog?

Part 1

Do you have a new blog or website. There are many ways to promote your website or blog and one of the most efficient ways is to use search engines. Search engines are the first stop for most people trying to find information, services, and products online. Because of this, it is essential that your website or blog appears quickly in search results.

The Internet contains numerous search engines, some of which offer what is known as "paid inclusion." This means that you pay the specific engine an annual fee for your web page or blog to be included in their index.

Of course, every search engine already has an automated program commonly called a "spider" that indexes all the web pages or blogs it locates online, and it does this for free. So whether you pay or not, your web page will eventually be indexed by all Internet search engines, as long as the spider can follow a link to your website or blog. The major issue is, then, how quickly your website or blog is indexed.

A search engine that offers a paid URL inclusion uses an extra spider that is programmed to index the particular websites or blogs that have been paid for. The difference between the spider that indexes websites or blogs for free and the spider that indexes only pages for a fee is speed. If you have paid for inclusion, the additional search engine spider will index your website or blog immediately.

Part 5
(click to watch the video )

An other way to market your ebook is to consider excerpting chapters for articles. You can offer these tidbits for free on your website or blog as a sort of demo of your ebook. Include an order form for your ebook at the end of the excerpted articles.

Finally, when you set-up your download link, make sure to simplify the process. It's a good idea to offer a bonus or two that make your ebook more enticing to purchase. Make sure that the bonuses are of as great of a value as the ebook that you are offering or it will not be a good value at all. The bonuses have to be of high quality as well. The goal is to convey to your audience that they are getting a quality product for a good deal. That means applying restraint, especially when it comes to adding bonus items. Too much free stuff offered diminishes your credibility. Stick with one or two high quality items.

You can also add an other high quality item that is also for sale. These are called add on's. It also has to be a great value. It has to be high quality, if it is not it will diminish your credibility as well. The goal is to have repeat customers. It is easier to sell to someone that has bought from you before than a new customer that has never bought from you before. Give a great value with everything that you do and selling becomes automatic. Word of mouth advertising is the best. People sell it for you. But remember bad word of mouth travels even faster than good word of mouth.

Make sure that everything that you offer is of the highest quality and value. Make sure it is relevant and current. Develop an effective marketing plan that includes excellent sales copy and excerpted articles. Use online and offline marketing to sell your ebook. Then offer your ebook for sale, and wait for your audience to discover you! Do not forget to use things like ezines that are similar to what you are trying to sell. They are your target audience and the ezine already has a list even if you do not have one yet. Use every means possible to sell your ebook.

Now that we are at the end of this group of writings on ebooks. It is time to put it to use. We hope that you found these writings of use and helpful. As always we love to hear your comments. Please leave them. It will help all that read the blog.

Publishing Success, Steps To Achive The Success

Part 4 How do you market your ebook?

There are multitudes of books about self-promotion that will guide you in your efforts. Choose a plan that is both creative and professional. Learn how to write a catchy yet informative press release, and send copies of your ebook to sites that specialize in ebook reviews.

Learn how to write powerful sales copy, or hire someone to write it for you. This is an essential. You Absolutely need excellent sales copy to sell your book. Make sure the copy includes all the reasons your target audience needs your ebook, and the benefits they will derive from buying it.

Use graphics in your promotional materials. Beautiful graphics have the power to instantly convey the quality and value of your ebook . Graphics can also convey the amount of valuable information the book contains, and your careful attention to detail.Professional graphics sell professional ebooks. They reassure the customer that the product is what it claims to be.

Do not forget to use offline and online marketing to help you sell your ebook. So offline places might be:
* Ads in newspapers ( do not forget to put the URL to where they can buy the ebook.)
* Magazines that have something to do with the topic that you have chosen.
* Use a postcard to advertise the ebook.
What other places can you come up with for offline marketing?

Some ways to market online are:
* Press releases
* Ezines that have a similar topic to what your ebook is, that way you have the same target audience. You will not have to do the hard sell on people, they will already have an interest in what is in your ebook.
* Paid and Free ads.
* Ebay
* Other book selling sites.

Make sure that you can track where the sales are coming from. You will know if the paid ads are working. You will know if offline is working better than online, or however the case may be. You can keep doing what is working and change what is not working.

Publishing Success, Steps To Achive The Success !

Part 3 Okay, now that this necessary celebration is out of your system, what do you do next?

How to turn your ebook into Profits?

Ebooks are a revolutionary way to publish your book without incurring the costs of print production. All you need is a relevant and targeted subject and some inexpensive software, and you can transform your manuscript into a book.

The problem, in terms of actually seeing any profits from your ebook is that the market is over whelmed with ebooks, and many of them are not worth the time it takes to download them. Just because the ability exists to easily produce an ebook, doesn't make it good writing.

Make sure your ebook does not simply rehash old material. You will injure your credibility as ans author by claiming to offer valuable new insights and disappointing your audience with material they've read a zillion times before. So spend enough time writing and revising your book to make sure it's of the highest quality and presents the most current information. A good ebook will eventually sell itself; false claims about your ebook will make it extremely difficult to sell any future ebooks you may write.

Assuming you have determined that you do indeed have a quality product that answers some question or need of your target audience with new information, you have set the price at what you feel is the best one for your ebook that is equal to its value and what the market will bear.

Feel free to leave a comment. We enjoy reading them.
