Why Should You Write An Ebook?

After you've written your ebook.

Getting your ebook out is going to be your focus once you've finished writing it, just as it is with print books. People will hesitate to buy any book from an author they've never heard of. Wouldn't you?

The answer is simple: give it away! You will see profits in the form of promoting your own business and getting you name and brand out for others to see and know. You will find affiliates who will ask you to place their links within your ebook, and these affiliates will in turn go out and make your name and brand known. Almost every single famous ebook author has started out this way.

Another powerful tool to attract people to your ebook is to make it interactive. Invent something for them to do within the book rather than just producing pages that contain static text. let your readers fill out questionnaires, forms even crossword puzzles geared to testing their knowledge on a particular subject. Have your readers hit a link that will allow them to recommend your book to their friends and associates. Or include an actual order form so at the end of their reading journey, they can eagerly buy your product.

When people interact with books, they become a part of the world of that book. The fact is just as true for books in print as it is for ebooks.

That's why ebooks are so essential. Not only do they provide a forum for people to learn and make sense of their own thoughts, but they can also serve to promote your business at the same time. How does not want something that is out on the web working hard for you 24/7 without you doing anything else but write it and put it on a website.

Make sure that it is of value to others. Do they want to know more about this subject. They have to know the value of this book, this is a $19. 99 value for free.Give it a value so that they will value the ebook that they are getting free.

We love to read your comments. Please leave them.

Great tips of giving away your ebook and the key was giving it a value. If you have enough contant you can give away first 10 to 15 pages of your ebook for free and let the reader know they can buy the rest of the book for a price.
Good job.

Giovanna, you make a very good point, of giving away 10 to 15 pages and have them buy the rest. The 10 to 15 pages can be for a limited time if you want it to as well.

Hi Dan & Deanna .. great idea to give away some content .. make the ebook smaller .. build up your chapters ..

it's good to know that your brand and name will be out there .. and affiliates will follow .. and both tie in with endless links .. the 'paperless' tree of life for an author!

Also the interactive bit .. good idea .. and of value to others .. and free though worth $19.99 ..

Thanks - Hilary Melton-Butcher

Hilary, you make very valid points. You have it. An ebook does not have to be more than 35 pages. They can be small, but pack it with great information. Give a great value and people will come back often for more.If you do not give people good information and a good value they will not be back and they will tell everyone that they know "not to order from this person, they are not worth it."
