One of the biggest assets you will find when you are
in a home based business is networking with other
business owners. Not only are they a great source of
encouragement, but they can also lead to more
business.
These are some of the things that you can do as you
network with other people.
1.When people are selling products, such as jewelry or
candles, a lot of times what they will do is to have
an online party. Everyone goes into a chat room, and
it's just like a regular party, except it's online.
Something that people will do is that they will trade
parties in the network. Let's say that you sell
jewelry, and someone else in the network sells
candles. The two of you talk, and you agree to do a
candle party for her if she does a jewelry party for
you. This way the both of you benefit from the
experience, and hopefully the two of you make some
sales.
Just like with a regular party that is held in
some one's house, it's important to give your hostess a
thank you gift for holding the party for you This way,
even if she doesn't buy anything, she still gets to
see what it is that you have to offer and will keep
you in mind for the next time that she wants to buy a
product like the one that you are selling.
2. If someone is putting on a training seminar, make sure
that you have a lot of business card with you. Make sure
that your business cards are something that will stand out.
Change the shape so that it is not the same old square white
business card. People will look close at it because it is different.
Use both sides of the business card. Put your business creed on
the back like this one:
It is from kitchen tune-up Do you think that you would
do business with this company that gives these 8
trustpoints on the back of every business card?
Would they stand out from other business that
do the same thing? What can you do on your business cards?
3. While you are at the seminar think about hosting a party
in your hotel room for some of the people that are attending
the seminar. Come prepared to do this. Have invitations that
you can hand out to some of the other people that are attending.
As you are mingling with people getting to know them, hand out
the invitations. It does not have to be big 25 to 50 people. This way
you can get to know people better and they will remember you
better when you want to do a joint venture with them in the future.
4. Networking on the internet is great when you are doing the
social marketing sites like twitter, blogs, forums, squidoo, facebook
and all the other places.

Hi Dan and Deanna .. thanks that was an interesting video on Social Media .. it's good to get other views.
The most important thing is to build a solid base, learn, and ensure that you comment backwards and forwards .. always positively ..
and add value .. through relating to the article in question .. not always easy, but essential to do .. then others will click through to see who you are ..
Thanks - Hilary Melton-Butcher
